The Center Develops Opioid STR Toolkit for MED Members

Back to News & Reports

The Center has created a toolkit to help our member states collaborate with their Single State Agency on Substance Abuse (SSA) in applying for funds to combat the opioid epidemic. Funds for the State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis grants were set aside by Congress in the 21st Century Cures Act. Although not competitive (states have a planned allotment of funds based on population size), each state’s SSA must submit an application for funding by February 17th. Medicaid has a keen interest in, and expends significant resource, to combat opioid addiction. The toolkit provides links to Center MED reports that align with the required and allowable activities in the FOA. See a preview of the toolkit.
