Medicaid Policy Matters -Webinar 7

As states begin implementing the federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), telehealth is emerging as a key strategy for strengthening access to pediatric preventive services in rural communities. Medicaid programs are applying lessons from the Public Health Emergency while balancing access, quality, equity, and accountability. 

Hybrid pediatric care models that combine telehealth with in‑person services show promise for addressing workforce shortages, transportation barriers, broadband gaps, rural access challenges, and adolescent preventive care needs. But states also need clear guardrails to ensure children receive complete, age‑appropriate screenings. 

This webinar explores how states are navigating these decisions and how pediatric telehealth is being incorporated into RHTP strategies.
