Washington Primary Care

The Center provides assistance to the Washington Health Care Authority (HCA) and its partners focused on improving the quality and efficiency of care and improving the health of residents. The Center’s work supports a collaborative of private and public health insurers working to align health care efforts in the state, focused on the transformation of primary care delivery and payment. A new aligned  model will seek to create better health and better care for patients, smarter spending of public and private health care dollars, and improve clinical experience for providers.

Another effort, called “CHART” (Community Health Access and Rural Transformation) will test whether aligned financial incentives, increased operational flexibility and robust technical support can change the design and delivery of rural health care in north central Washington.
